Student Accommodation in Barcelona for International Students

Booking a Barcelona room from abroad: the areas with rooms, what the rent covers and what happens at check-in.

Booking from abroad, safely

Searching for a Barcelona room from another country means you cannot visit, and it means you are exposed to listings that disappear once a deposit is transferred. Two rules cover most of the risk: never pay for a room without a written agreement that identifies who is letting it, and only pay through the platform or provider you have that agreement with.

Through Jump In the agreement is issued before the online payment, and the payment covers the first month of rent plus the Booking Service Fee shown separately at checkout.

Where the rooms are

Jump In publishes rooms only where it has real apartments, and the areas currently represented are listed on the Barcelona city page and on each room page. That is deliberate: there are no neighbourhood pages for districts where no room exists.

What the rent covers

Rent is all-inclusive, with the services covered listed on each room page. Room type, occupancy where the room is shared, and the recorded size are stated per room, and the apartment's shared spaces and house rules are stated per property.

Stay lengths that match a semester or an internship

The earliest move-in date and availability are recorded per room, which makes a semester, an exchange term or an internship of a few months a normal booking. The schedule you would pay for your dates is displayed before you confirm.

Arriving in Barcelona

Your City Manager arranges the check-in and is your contact on the ground. The administrative fee and the security deposit are paid at check-in, and the deposit is returned after check-out under the conditions written in your agreement.

Jump In is the booking platform: it publishes the rooms, reviews requests, prepares the rental agreement and collects the first month of rent online. The accommodation itself is provided by the independent local accommodation provider identified before you pay and named in the agreement you sign.
